Petr Lebedenets is an important Ukrainian artist

Petr Lebedenets is an important Ukrainian artist and representative of abstract painting at Kunstgalerie Keller. He was born in 1956 and is known both in Ukraine and internationally for his powerful and colorful works.

From 1978 to 1984 he studied at the National Academy of Arts in Kiev (National Institute of Art, Kyiv). Since 1990 he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

Petr Lebedenets has received several awards in the course of his career:

• Certificate of Merit at the international art festival Our Heritage (Metropolitan Museum and National Art Club, New York)
• Honorary award "Artist of the Year" at the International Festival of Arts "Kiev Art" (1997)
• Award winner of the creative competition on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the UN in Ukraine (1996)
• Honorary prize of the jury at the international exhibition Contemporary Art in Nice (1996)

His works are represented in numerous collections and exhibitions at home and abroad.
