Vita and artistic career

Svetlana Koval, born in Kiev in 1978, is an outstanding Ukrainian artist and painter. She received her first artistic training from 1989 to 1993 at the renowned Children's art school Zhytomyrwhich she completed with distinction. There she studied under the direction of the folk artist V.N. Shkurinsky.

After graduating from the Republican Art School T.G. Shevchenko (1997) was followed by studies at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kiev, which she successfully completed in 2003.

International presence

The artist regularly takes part in national and international art exhibitions part. Her works are characterized by strong colour compositions, a wealth of light and atmospheric depth - often inspired by nature, architecture and classical landscape painting.
