Das Gemälde, Bild vom Hafen erinnert an impressionistische Malerei, ist eine poetische Darstellung maritimer Stille – und zugleich eine malerische Momentaufnahme voller Bewegung. Die Komposition zeigt zwei Boote, vertäut an einem einfachen Steg, eingebettet in ein vibrierendes Meer aus Türkis, Blau und Grautönen. Die Szenerie ist locker, fast skizzenhaft gehalten und dennoch atmosphärisch dicht. Im Zentrum steht nicht das Detail, sondern das Gefühl – das Erleben eines stillen Morgens oder eines trüben Nachmittags am Wasser.
Die Künstlerin – in der Tradition des modernen Impressionismus – verzichtet auf exakte Linienführung. Stattdessen setzt sie mit freiem Pinselduktus Lichtreflexe, Farbrhythmen und Spiegelungen, die das Wasser lebendig machen. Die Spiegelung der Boote im Wasser erscheint gebrochen, in Schichten aus Grün, Ocker, Blau und Weiß, wie ein Echo der Gegenwart im bewegten Medium.
Reduzierte Formen, volle Wirkung
Das eigentliche Motiv – Boote am Steg – wird fast beiläufig erzählt. Und genau darin liegt die Kraft des Bildes: Es eröffnet einen Raum, in dem die Betrachtenden ihre eigenen Erinnerungen verorten können. Die Figuren sind nur angedeutet, als Schatten oder Silhouetten, und dennoch erzählt das Werk von menschlicher Anwesenheit – vom Warten, Ankommen oder Loslassen.
Die Farben wirken bewusst reduziert, wirken aber dennoch kraftvoll durch den lebendigen Auftrag. Besonders auffällig ist die Balance zwischen kühlen Farbtönen und der warmen, rostigen Linie des Stegs – ein Brückenschlag zwischen Land und Wasser, zwischen Statik und Strömung.

Artistic profile
Nina Nikonenko is an internationally active Ukrainian painter with a focus on Plein Air Painting, Landscapes, Still life and lyrical portraits. Her artistic signature combines classical academic training with a modern color language and a deep emotional connection to the nature and culture of Ukraine. Her works are often created in the open air - plein air - This gives them a special light and color intensity.
Nikonenko is regarded as a representative of a contemporary painterly poetics, which in the Ukrainian landscape painting as well as in the symbolism of European art history. Particularly noteworthy is her ability to merge sound and image - as in her highly acclaimed project "Landscape of Music".

- "Landscape of Music" - An interdisciplinary exhibition in cooperation with the ARTgallery cellar and the Baden State Theater Karlsruhe | The cycle of works combined visual art with musical associations and showed 16 paintings that were created during an artistic residency in Germany.
