Beschreibung

Meine Buecherei I, a collector's work by Olexandr Milovzorov, unfolds a multi-layered, symbol-rich visual language that is reminiscent of sacred icon painting as well as incorporating modern, expressive elements.

Central pictorial elements in Collector's item My library I are an angel, a mythical bird, a praying figure and a baptismal fountain, forming a spiritual composition that celebrates divine knowledge as the origin and source of all life. These figures are not merely decorative, but carry a deeper meaning. The angel embodies the connection between heaven and earth, the bird refers to immortality and freedom, while the baptismal fountain symbolizes the idea of purification, new beginnings and spiritual origin.

The color scheme in My library I reinforces the effect of this symbolism. Warm ochre and red tones lend the scene a solemn, almost liturgical atmosphere. At the same time, golden and yellow accents echo the Byzantine icon tradition, in which light is understood as an expression of the divine. Through the use of expressive brushstrokes, however, the work appears modern and lively; it is not stuck in the past, but brings tradition and the present into an exciting dialog.

The calligraphic signs scattered across the scene are particularly remarkable. They are reminiscent of old manuscripts and coded signs, such as those found in holy books, medieval manuscripts or ancient inscriptions. This highlights the idea of a "library", not as a physical place of books, but as a spiritual space in which the collective knowledge of mankind is preserved and constantly reinterpreted.

Olexandr Milovzorov "My library I" is an original in Gouache on paper. With its combination of religious symbolism, mythical imagery and contemporary painting, it has a special status, both as an expression of artistic vision and as a collector's item. It impressively demonstrates how art can link themes such as faith, knowledge and human history across the centuries and thus remains timelessly topical.
